Christina’s recommendations helped shape the trip before we even reached Ithaki House. She sent ideas for activities, places to eat and artisanal workshops that suited our interests, and even offered help while we were travelling elsewhere in Cyprus. From the pool, the views stretch across the landscape to the Akamas mountains and gorge, with the sea at Latsi/Polis beyond. We watched the sunset almost every night. The house itself was comfortable and felt luxurious, with hotel-quality linen, bedding and toiletries, plenty of cosy places to sit, yoga mats, games, films and programmes in several languages, a well-equipped kitchen, a BBQ and a patio heater. Everything looked like the photos. Christina welcomed us in person and had left snacks, drinks, gifts and lots of useful information. By then she already felt like an old friend. It’s a lovely, authentic area, though the nearest town and sea are a beautiful 20-minute drive away. We also enjoyed the drives to Pomos and its deserted beaches, and through Lysos, Steni and the winding Paphos hills. Paphos Forest is right nearby, and it felt magical. We’d love to return and explore more. Our fortnight at Ithaki House was incredible. If there were more than five stars, I’d give them. Thank you, Christina, for sharing your Cypriot paradise with us.

The house felt like a home from home, and we’d happily recommend Ithaki House. Christina has thought of so many details, including fresh flowers from the garden and plenty of different seating spots where you can enjoy the beautiful views. The pool was welcoming on a hot day and easy to get in and out of. On arrival, there was a wonderful food platter, and the fridge had food and drinks, including wine and beer, so arriving late wasn’t a problem. Christina and Simos went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely visit again.

The hosts made us feel like the guests they’d been most looking forward to welcoming, and everything was ready for us. There was a lovely platter of fruit and snacks, even towels for our dog. The villa is in a stunning location, and we had an amazing week there. It was one of my best weeks of the past year. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you, Christina.

That sunset photo was taken from the balcony next to the bedrooms. The house also has a nice pool area, great Wi-Fi, cable TV, books and games, fresh flowers, and comfortable beds. Christina has thought of everything, even putting together a guide to all there is to do in the region, so you may not need the TV much. From her warm welcome, Ithaki House felt like a home away from home. She takes great care of her guests, and the well-equipped place suits one or two couples or a small family. If you’re visiting this part of Cyprus and Ithaki House happens to be available, book a week or two.

The sunsets are wonderful, and Christina’s communication was world class, even during those difficult Covid 19 times. She also has lots of ideas and recommendations for things to see and enjoy. The house is a classy hideaway for anyone wanting to get away from crowds while still having everything within a 15-minute drive. It’s fully equipped, and in 15 years of renting houses for holidays, this was by far the best equipped place we’ve stayed. We’ll come back one day.
