On arrival, the owner said the price we’d booked through a third-party site wasn’t his usual rate and asked us to pay extra. He also said letting us stay would be a favor and that he’d photograph the room to make sure we didn’t break or damage anything. I still don’t understand why he treated us that way, or whether he does it to every guest. A completely bizarre experience.

The location is excellent, and both apartments were spacious. We had two two-bedroom units on the same floor. The cleaning could have been much more thorough, though, and the veranda was dirty. The patio furniture was also in poor condition.

The owner wanted extra money for basics like towels and a mattress, and most of what was advertised wasn’t included in the rooms. He’ll apparently say whatever helps him make a quick buck. The location was awful too. Absolutely atrocious, do not stay here.

The kitchen suited our needs, and the rooms were a good size. The beds were comfortable, without those old lumpy mattresses, and the place was clean and warm. Staff were very helpful, with local shops and restaurants nearby. It’s central to the main town, though there’s no sea view. We’ll definitely stay again.

The host was easy to reach, and the place was neat and clean. The location is perfect. I stayed a week ago, and it seems like good value if you just need somewhere to crash for a day or two.
