Abraham's House

We stayed in December 2022/ January 2023 and found it a very nice place to stay. The kitchen had the important things we needed, and fresh bread was waiting on the table when we arrived. There’s a lovely taverna and a mini market within a five-minute walk, plus a large supermarket about ten minutes away by car. For long winter evenings, though, a TV or shared room with a bar would have made it feel complete. The welcome was very friendly.

The garden and pool area had such a lovely atmosphere that it more than made up for the very hard mattresses and a toilet that didn’t always flush. The pool was clean, and the view was fantastic. It’s in a cute, quiet town, so you can drive to the places you want to visit without staying somewhere busy, noisy, and touristy. The facilities were nice too.

We loved having a private swimming pool, and the house worked well for families with children. It was also well equipped and in a very quiet location. The owner was helpful and replied quickly to our calls. The Porfyrios Character House was our best choice this summer. We’d happily come back soon and highly recommend it.

The hosts were personable and helpful, and the whole place felt private and relaxing compared with a busy hotel. We especially liked the artwork in the rooms and all the thoughtful details in these character houses. Highly recommended.
