We booked on the spur of the moment without expecting much, then found ourselves in a peaceful place that made it easy to slow down. Surrounded by nature and free of mass tourism, it feels authentic, calm, and personal. It would suit families, nature lovers, or busy professionals looking for a quiet break, focused work, or a small retreat. The taverna is a lovely part of the stay, with excellent food, attentive service, and a thoughtfully chosen wine list that makes you want to linger. We travel often and rarely return to the same place, but this one is going on our regular hideaway list. A real hidden gem.

Dinner was a highlight of our one-night stay at Tochni Tavern. We had dips, salad, a starter, and a main, then took dessert back to our room. The waiters were brilliant, friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing night. Breakfast was simple but nicely done, with plenty of options for different dietary needs. Check-in was slower than expected. At first there didn’t seem to be any staff around, and after we got someone’s attention we were offered a complimentary welcome drink. We asked about checking in again nearly an hour later, and a lady came over about ten minutes after that. She wasn’t especially friendly, but showed us to the room and explained the Tochni Tavern map. As we were leaving, a gentleman who we assume was the owner asked how the stay had been, said we were welcome back, and wished us a good day. That was a lovely end to the visit. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come again.

Walking along the quiet stone paths to breakfast each morning became a simple, memorable part of our stay, and made us feel connected to the village’s rhythm. We stayed in a spotless, comfortable villa with beautiful views over the village and hills. Sotronis and his team welcomed us warmly and made us feel like family. Meals on the Tochni Tavern terrace were unforgettable, with delicious, authentic Cypriot food and a peaceful setting. Sofronis even surprised us with a new dish from the menu, and it was full of flavour. It’s rare to find a place that captures the heart of Cyprus so well. We left feeling refreshed and cared for, already eager to return.

We were a family group of ten and had separate houses, with spacious rooms and fully equipped kitchens. It was private, comfortable, and beautifully put together. The restaurant was incredible, every meal tasted homemade and full of love, with lots of traditional Cypriot dishes as well as familiar options. Tochni is well placed in the lower center of Cyprus, so it’s easy to explore the island. We went to Paphos one day and Ayia Napa the next, and there are lovely beaches nearby for day trips. The hotel village gives you a chance to experience local life and authentic Cypriot culture, rather than a typical tourist-style resort. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The owner especially went out of his way to make us feel at home. We even took a selfie with him because we liked him so much. This place exceeded our expectations.
