The owner never arranged the cleaning they promised. They kept blaming the cleaners and putting it off, and at one point the owner even raised his voice at us. We chose cleaning over a refund because we had nowhere else to go with our child, but nothing came of it. This stay ruined our holiday, and I strongly advise against booking here. We were in room 120, booked on Booking.com under the name Long Beach Rental Apartments. The actual complex was Royal Life Poseidon, so even the listing name was wrong. The Booking.com photos were misleading too. The apartment was nothing like its description: dirty and unhygienic, with dirt and dead insects everywhere. The shower and toilet were moldy, the toilet seat was broken, the towels were filthy, and the balconies had dust and bird droppings all over them. Hot water came out yellow and sandy. There was no privacy, just sheer curtains, with the building opposite right in front of us. Our six-year-old had no bed or bedding ready, although we'd specified this in the booking. We had to set up the sofa bed ourselves, and our child cried through cold showers. We had to sleep without a blanket. The electricity also went out twice for over 30 minutes when it was above 40°C, so we had no air conditioning. We are now staying in South Cyprus, where the hygiene standards are so different. This place could learn from them. What a world of difference.
