Jubilee Hotel

The room had a comfy bed, central heating, a smart TV, and a decent amount of space. The restaurant was warm and served tasty food at fair prices. It’s a cosy, well-kept family-run hotel in the mountains, in the Troodos area.

The restaurant food is really tasty and reasonably priced, and breakfast was quite good. A cake would have been a nice addition. Some parts of the hotel could use renovation, but the customer service was exemplary and made up for the imperfections. One thing to watch in snowy weather: the steps between the parking area and reception get very slippery. It would help to add handrails or metal grips on the steps.

The vegan lasagna was the standout meal for us, absolutely amazing. The food portions were generous and the rest was satisfying too. Jubilee Hotel is a small, cosy place with exceptionally polite, genuinely sweet staff who made the stay feel warm and welcoming. The rooms are simple and have few amenities, which seems in line with the hotel’s star rating. We found it comfortable and quiet, a good fit for staying in the Troodos area if you’re not expecting luxury.

We loved the location for hiking and taking photos, especially from the northwest viewpoint. The check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were welcoming, particularly the person who helped us arrive. We enjoyed our one night and the breakfast. There was no snow when we got there, but a light snowfall came before we left, making the stay memorable. Our room wasn’t as quiet as we’d hoped. A steady, generator-like sound continued through the night, so we played quiet music on our device to mask it and fall asleep. Even so, we appreciated the hospitality and the overall experience.
