The food was much better than I expected, genuinely excellent. The old manor house is pleasant enough, and though the rooms are basic, they’re comfortable and clean. Service was unexceptional. I’d happily stay again if I’m in the area.

I probably wouldn’t choose this place again. Outside, there was a beautiful view and a trampoline and swings for children, and the house itself was quite nice. But the rooms were small and stuffy, the toilet button didn’t work, and breakfast was below average. The service felt rather indifferent. Payment is cash only.

The WiFi was okay, but there was no signal. Some rooms felt a bit communist, though they had flat TVs. I was there with my class, so I can’t say what the restaurant food was like.

The food was really good, no complaints there. I was only there for lunch, so I can’t rate the accommodation. The service was totally unpleasant, with someone watching TV in front of you while you waited for drinks. Given the location in the middle of nowhere, it seemed overpriced.

Beautiful setting and great atmosphere, with excellent value and great staff. Mobile signal was poor.
