Golf Resort Hotel Konopiste

The food at the restaurant was great, and we liked the breakfast buffet. The kids had fun at both the indoor and outdoor pools, and there’s a basic playground with swings, a slide, climbing wall, sandbox, and little carousel. You can also borrow golf clubs and use the driving range or putting area without being a member. There are lots of different accommodation buildings, so your stay may vary. We were in the one where breakfast is usually served, which I believe they call the Steakhouse. It was clean, and the large parking area for guests and members is free and felt safe. The facilities are fine, though some updating wouldn’t hurt. It’s about an hour’s drive from Prague. Nearby, there’s a forest with playgrounds, a rose garden called Ruzova Zahrada, and a spot to see deer and goats, opposite the restaurant Stara Myslivna. Hotel Konopiste Nova Myslivna also has a big playground. A little train goes to Benešov for 50 CZK, though there isn’t much to do there.

The golf facilities were superb, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly kind too. A wonderful stay, highly recommended!

The only real downside was the main restaurant, with its terrible staff and old-fashioned interior. You can get your car washed while you play, though. The resort has spacious rooms in the accommodation dependance, plus a new, modern wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools. The 36-hole layout is nice, and it’s probably the best golf resort in the Czech Republic.

Finding the first tee at Radetzky was a bit of a challenge, and the fourth tee box is hidden, like many of the other signs. The driving range and putting green are okay. It’s one of the best golf resorts in Czech, with two great courses and plenty of places to stay.
