We turned up at an awkward time, when the other guests were only having drinks, but they got our food ready quickly and were really nice about it. The food was good too, especially for somewhere out in the countryside.

The village is pretty and the place has a lovely atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I liked the way the rooms and restaurant were decorated.

The rooms are furnished with a lot of care, and everything was spotless and very quiet. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was good, and there’s plenty of parking. I’d happily recommend this guesthouse.

The restaurant was closed during our three-night stay over Pentecost, but we found a great rustic place a few meters away, "Zum alten Krämer" (The Old Shopkeeper), and went there each evening. One disappointment was the terrace: you could only order beer there until 8 p.m., even though the weather was lovely and we’d have liked to stay another hour. Our room had been renovated and was well furnished, though the floorboards creaked very loudly. Breakfast was okay.
