Garnihotel Castle Bridge

Our balcony looked out over the castle and river, which made both mornings and evenings special. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and offered plenty of choice. The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout. The receptionist was a real gem, warm and especially thoughtful about making us feel at home. We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The reception isn't staffed around the clock, but that was fine. Breakfast was simple and nice. The rooms were good, with great views, and the location feels like a fairy tale, just like the town.

We only stopped here for breakfast, and the eggs benedict were fantastic. The entrance, with its old water wheel, is really cool, and the patio at the back overlooking the river was lovely.

The terrace was a relaxing spot with a beautiful view, and breakfast was good, with eggs and bacon, cold cuts and cheese, pastries, and cereal. The kitchen staff were friendly and kept everything replenished. The TV worked and had one or two English channels. Everything was clean. The room was tiny and basic, though, and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. A bright green light above the door made it hard to sleep. The shower would suddenly get colder and lose pressure, so showers had to be quick, and the sink was so small I kept splashing water on myself. We paid extra for the terrace. There was no A/C during the off-season, so we slept with the door cracked open. The river made nice white noise that way. The location is the hotel's best feature. It's a minute's walk from the beautiful bridge view of the castle and close to the rest of town. With a car, you have to park at P1 and walk about five minutes. The hotel offers a discounted rate, but it's still around $12 USD a day. I wouldn't stay again because of the hard bed and small room, even though the location is awesome. And if you're thinking about visiting Český Krumlov, do it.
