The garden is really nice, and the staff were warm and welcoming, so no complaints there. The double room we booked was odd, though. It seemed to connect to some drainage system, and it smelled while water kept running through pipes all around the room. It was okay for a couple of nights, but £35 a night still felt a bit steep. A very average place overall.

The upper porch has an amazing view, and the shared spaces are nice. The kitchen is useful too. The rooms may feel old, but for what you pay, this is one of the best hostels you can stay in.

You’re close to the center, as you are to everything in this city, and the river is right in front of the accommodation. The rooms were clean and had a kitchen, coffee maker, and almost all the equipment you’d need. They were missing a wine opener, though, and that’s essential :D. Friendly staff and great accommodation.

There were rats in both the rooms and the kitchen. The place looks decent, but it’s barebones and neglected, and I’d avoid it if I came back to town. Staff were absent all evening and early morning. There’s a key drop box, but reception hours are limited.

The hostel is in a nice location, but the common room heaters didn’t work. With tile floors, it gets very cold even if you’re wearing socks.
