I stayed here on a class trip and had a lovely time. The receptionists were so nice, and the next morning they even set up breakfast for us in a private room.

Our Viator day tour from Prague brought us here for a three-course lunch, which was “free” because some exhibits were closed in the low season. There was soup or salad, then chicken, trout or goulash for the main, followed by cake. The mains were tasty, especially the really tender roasted pork.

The potato dumplings with smoked meat and cabbage were great, as were the duck with red cabbage and dumplings, and the goulash and goulash soup. We had Pilsner Urquell on tap, too. The plates and desserts are hearty and fairly priced, and the servers were welcoming and attentive. It's an old tavern, with sloping floorboards and tables worn uneven by time. The back dining room has a big open fireplace, and may once have been a stable or shoeing room. Really cool spot, and the bathrooms are well kept.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced compared with other places. Service ran a little slow, but the restaurant was packed, with a couple of large groups dining at once. A nice experience overall. This is about the restaurant, not the rooms.
