Vila Johanka

The location is a big plus, but the attic room is small and the bathroom ceiling slopes. Getting into the room is a disaster because the stairs are so steep. WiFi is weak, the parking lot is small, and the guesthouse feels like it gets no maintenance.

The guesthouse is cozy, and the center is only a short walk away. There’s plenty of storage in the large closet, and the bathroom was nice and had a hairdryer. The WiFi was pretty slow, though, and the TV locked itself at 10:10 PM. I also found it odd that the owner charges for parking except in the off-season. I think parking should be part of the accommodation price, as it usually is. 4/5.

The building isn’t suitable for people with reduced mobility, as the owner points out, and that’s why I’ve given it four stars. The owner was kind and hardworking, and really tried to make us happy. We got the best room, which was spacious and had new furniture; the duvets smelled lovely. WiFi worked without any problems. There’s a beautiful park right beside the guesthouse, and I went to the Gold Hotel for hot food at good prices.

Breakfast was included, and it was generous, a nice way to start the day. My friend and I stayed for three days and were very happy with the clean, cozy little guesthouse. The owner was kind and helpful, and gave us ideas for trips and places to go. We’ll definitely stay at Johanka again.
