Svachovka

A real plus is being able to bring your dog. There are pleasant places to walk nearby, and the staff are friendly. I found the spa facilities excellent and the whole hotel really relaxing. I'll definitely be back!

We drove here from Vienna and would happily make the trip again. The room was clean, spacious, and had a super-comfy bed. We loved the food, too, and everyone at reception, the restaurant, and the spa made us feel very well looked after. Hospitality at Svachovka is formidable. We absolutely loved our stay, so do yourself a favour and come here!

The owners spoke with us, acknowledged the issues, apologized, and gave us chocolate and bath salt. That was appreciated, but the overall execution still felt poor. The house has charm from the outside, yet that doesn't carry through inside, and it badly needs renovation. The rooms felt basic and low budget, with little taste in the interior. The bathtub wasn't clean, there was no proper soap, the fridge was empty, the mattresses were separate, and the bathroom was ice cold. Breakfast and the food were similarly low budget, nothing seemed fresh, and things weren't organized well. Like Česky Krumlov itself, it felt set up for quick tourism rather than quality. Visiting in summer is probably a much better experience, since everything outside looks much nicer. For what it is, the place is overpriced, though it has a lot of potential.

The hotel sits in beautiful surroundings right by the golf course. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the beer and food were excellent for the price. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, though the pillows could perhaps be better stuffed. I didn't try the beer spa or other wellness facilities.
