We had a great time at Apalaše with the kids. They loved all the things to do, including the games room, pool, hot tub and ski slope, and we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, and service was quick and pleasant. The slope was beautifully groomed, and we got lucky with the snow. The frozen water for about 10 hours was a little unpleasant, but manageable. Otherwise, I can’t think of any major downside. We’d love to come back.

The owners take care of you with love, and the staff are very nice. Food was excellent, and the ski slope was perfectly groomed just a few steps from the cottage. We enjoyed our stay so much, there’s nothing to complain about. A wonderful place for families with children and for others too.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, but our stay was badly affected by noise and upkeep problems. For the first few nights, there was a loud party in the room above us, which we might have let go. Then the snow cannon near our room, no. 13, made a constant irritating noise. We could hear it with the windows shut, and earplugs still didn’t let us sleep. The owner tried to address it, but keeping the lift operating was basically the priority. I understand his point of view, but four sleepless nights left us exhausted. We repeatedly thought about leaving, but friends had come with us exclusively at our invitation. The building is relatively new, yet the wellness area and our room’s shower showed the effects of time and poor hygiene maintenance. The building didn’t seem as well maintained as we’d expect at this price, and the rooms are also significantly soundproof. Given the cost, we would have appreciated advance notice that there could be nighttime technical noise in winter, or at least an offer of appropriate compensation.

The snow cannon issue had been fixed, so everything was trouble-free and we slept well in the room below, no. 13. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable. There’s a kitchenette in the room, though we didn’t need it because the food was great and homemade. After skiing all day, the big pool and hot tub were TOP. The staff were friendly and tried to help with anything. We had a fabulous stay, with no queues on the slopes and no waiting, just skiing around until our legs gave out 😂. Thanks for such a good experience, we’ll definitely come back 🥰
