We had a really pleasant stay, and the owners made it easy for us, even letting us bring our pet. The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. Thanks for taking such good care of us.

The setting around Penzion Borovice is lovely, with forests, hills, and pleasant roads. We also got useful tips from our host about the area, and the guesthouse had a welcoming, almost homely feel. For the price, it was very good tourist-class accommodation, and we'd happily recommend it. Our room was upstairs, with a nice valley view. It was on the small side, but there was enough space for three beds, a wardrobe, a table, and two chairs. Everything was spotless, including the bathroom, which had a sink, toilet, and a fairly luxurious shower that our daughter loved. The boiler kept up with our hot water needs. House shoes are required, which helped keep the hallways and common room clean. The owners welcomed us warmly when we arrived, showed us around, and explained how things worked. We chose half board and were glad we did. The home-cooked meals were good and suitable for children, with no frozen ready-made fried food. WiFi worked throughout the building and out on the terrace, and it was fast enough for everything we needed. Mobile reception in the area isn't great, so that was a real plus. We used the common room for breakfast and dinner. It has a few tables, a large TV, a children's corner with a blackboard, lots of books, an electronic dartboard, and a fireplace that must make things feel romantic in winter. Next door, there was a small non-smoking restaurant, like the rest of the guesthouse, serving drinks, snacks, and light meals. A well-equipped kitchenette was on our floor near the room, though we barely used it. Outside, there are tables and a grill on the terrace, plus a children's playground with swings, a sandbox, and a large trampoline. A bigger area nearby can be used for football or volleyball. Parking right in front of the guesthouse was easy.
