From the first-floor landing, you get a lovely view of Velký kotel, as in the photo. The place is very good overall. The only odd thing is that the outdoor stairs to the first floor are outside, which feels like an architect’s mistake, maybe by someone who’s never been in the mountains. Americans might miss having air conditioning, and the owner says an outdoor jacuzzi is planned.

It’s clean and seems suited to winter. The houses are scattered about five at a time, so I’m not sure there’s much to do in summer. You can hear people walking upstairs when you’re on the ground floor.
