The building has lovely architecture, wildlife around it, a good location and a parking space. From the terrace, the view is great, and the apartment has plenty of equipment. But maintenance is in very poor shape. The dishwasher is there with tablets, yet it doesn’t work. There’s an awning but no way to open it. The sinks were clogged with hair and had soap grime on them, and the terrace is badly damaged and neglected. It really needs renovation. I still recommend the place because the setting and building have a lot going for them, which is why I gave four stars, though maintenance would get only two.

Everything apart from the communication was perfect, but I would not want anyone else to be charged twice for a stay. We were three family groups, and I tried in several ways to change just one night of our itinerary. There is no reception desk, and on the phone the receptionist didn’t understand what I was asking, so they told me to leave a message. I also wrote through Booking.com messenger and changed the date in the Booking.com system. There was no reply. The next day, a Czech colleague explained it for me, and the receptionist assigned us a room for the changed schedule. The receptionist took all the payment by card on site. After the trip, Booking.com messaged to say the host claimed we had not used the room. I replied that we had stayed according to the changed schedule, in the room the receptionist had confirmed. Even so, they charged another CZK 1,970 from my card for one more night. I asked through my Czech colleague for the unexpected payment to be settled and refunded. After several long, unpleasant phone calls, they said we had made a mistake and called it a “NO-SHOW” penalty. They refused to return the money. I found the whole situation very unpleasant. I plan to complain to European Consumer Centre Czech Republic and post about it on other travel apps and social media.
