Hotel Allvet

We were eight friends, and the facilities gave us plenty to enjoy, including beach volleyball, the outdoor restaurant, a sauna, and a jacuzzi that needs to be booked ahead. The rooms and shared areas were clean and looked after, and we liked the restaurant food too. Alexandra at reception was kind and helpful, and check-in went smoothly. Breakfast could use a wider selection of hot food. Also, the gel heaters under the egg trays gave off an unpleasant smell. Even with that, we had a very positive stay, and the hotel was great value, better than I expected.

The outside grounds were impressive, the kind of place a five-star hotel could look up to. Inside, though, there were several problems. We had booked a two-room apartment but were given a one-room one. They offered two nearby rooms instead because no family apartments were left, but that wasn't suitable for us with kids. Some of the towels had stains. The bathroom had a bathtub but no shower, curtain, or holder for a shower head. There was, however, a huge spiderweb up in the corner, about head height. Breakfast was a joke, with an incredibly poor choice for a Swedish table. The machine coffee tasted premade.

A handy place to stop for one night while travelling through, with a good location for transit. Breakfast was very limited, with little to choose from.

The rooms were really spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had dinner in the evening, and all the food was excellent. I stayed one night in October with breakfast included, and there was fast, free Wi-Fi throughout the buildings. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
