Harvey Spa Hotel

The rooms themselves were okay, with a small balcony and minibar. The sauna was small but decent, and probably the best part of the place. The pool is more like a big bath. Breakfast was sort of okay but tasteless, with no fresh fruit at all, not even a banana or slice of apple. Dinner was horrible and tasteless too. If you’re not ordering à la carte, it feels as if you’re treated like a second-class guest. They couldn’t seat all six of us together, so four sat at one table while the other two had to sit elsewhere with two other guests. We booked two nights through a travel agency with breakfast and dinner included. The place could have been beautiful, but the staff seemed to work around the clock, and friendliness wasn’t much in evidence. It helped that I’m good at communicating. Someone who isn’t might have a real problem here. At seven in the morning, the room attendant knocked to ask about making up the room. It was nice of her, but far too early. I assume she had too much work to get through each day, which probably wasn’t her fault. Then, around midnight on our last night, the receptionist called asking us to pay for some sort of upgrade to a superior room. I told her we’d booked through an agency and everything was included, so there shouldn’t be extra charges. After an endless discussion, I hung up and we went down to reception. She then told us everything was fine. It felt like a bad joke, and we were left wondering, “Where’s the camera?” I definitely can’t recommend this place. Better head to Germany and stay at Sante Royal Bad Brambach, right next to the Saxony Bath and Sauna palace.

The spa and wellness treatments have all been great, and the staff are awesome and really friendly. There are nice places nearby for walking and relaxing. I’m very happy with this place and strongly recommend it.

The park is right there, which is a real plus, and the location in general is good. Breakfast was great too. I wasn't as sure about the quality of the lunches.

The prices for things in the minibar were really nice, and breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly, the furnishings modern. A really nice hotel, and I'd definitely come back.
