Lazensky Hotel Pyramida I

Internet was clearly advertised, but there wasn’t any in the rooms, which is a dealbreaker in 2022. A friendly receptionist said she’d help and try to arrange a fix for 8 a.m. the next morning, so I was leaving the rating as it was until I saw what happened. The next day she moved us to a room where the internet worked, thank you. It does connect now, but the speed is incredibly low.

We wanted a quiet, relaxing getaway and that’s exactly what we had. The rooms were spacious and nice, and we really enjoyed the food. Breakfast was delicious, and we ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant many times. Every meal was amazing and the staff were excellent. One server was especially sweet with our three kids, aged 12, 5 and 2. She even went out of her way to learn some English so she could talk with us. We got by with a mix of English and German. The pool at Hotel Pyramid I was just a 30-second walk from II. There was also a little play area and a petting zoo with a small range of birds, along with deer, goats, some emus, lovely birds and a small fish pond. There’s a neat little castle on the grounds, too. We had a lovely walk along the trails to Frantiskovy Lazne, a beautiful little spa town. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

The restaurant staff were quite impolite, and the food was average and rather expensive. The rooms are big, but could use better upkeep. The furniture, especially the sofa and armchair in the apartment, looked old and dirty.

The hospitality and services were great, and the place worked well for our specific needs. My only gripe is that the double beds seemed designed for couples who don’t have sex.
