Slavomir, the bartender, made me a wonderful special coffee, and the natural surroundings are beautiful. I also liked the mini arcade, the ice cream option, the clean renovated rooms, and the reliable wifi. There are some real downsides, though. The steam bath was out of order the whole time, the buffet was low quality and flavourless, and toiletries weren't provided at all, not even soap, which you have to buy at reception. You also have to pay for the jacuzzi even though wellness is included, and bowling costs over 400kc. Very few staff speak English, which made communication difficult. Breakfast ends at 10. We arrived at 9:45 after work calls, but at 9:55 they told us to leave our food. The manager let us stay a little longer to finish what we'd already taken. I understand not taking more food after 10, but we only wanted time to eat what we had.

There's plenty to explore in the mountains around the hotel. The rooms were fairly spacious, the bathrooms clean, and the service was great overall. The hotel is a little way out of the city, so some transport could help if you're carrying a lot of luggage.

I stayed here for a week with my school, and it was the worst week ever. The rooms were old, plain and smelly, like prison cells. There was no hot water in the shower, and the water smelled of iron. You have to buy all your own toilet supplies because nothing is provided. The food was absolutely awful, so I skipped dinner and ate at another hotel. Service was okay, and some of the ladies were sweet. The worst part happened in the elevator: I was in there with two friends, at the stated limit of three people. We stopped on the second floor, where two female employees got in. The elevator wouldn't move because we were over the weight limit. They grabbed my arm, threw me out, and said something in their language. Never again.

I booked this hotel on the spur of the moment while passing through, relying on its website and three-star rating. The food was sometimes okay, but the rest of the stay was rough. The rooms seemed not to be cleaned, or barely cleaned. The bathroom floor clearly hadn't been weighed for several weeks, and the toilet worked unreliably. Staff were completely unfriendly and uncooperative. You can't charge anything to your room and have to pay immediately, in cash only. I'd look for another hotel.
