The bungalow itself was nice, and the owners were kind. But there were so many problems that I can’t give it a good review. The place as a whole needs repairs and upkeep. There were an incredible number of mosquitoes in the room, though we could put up with them. The water in the bathroom, on the other hand, was absolutely awful and smelled disgusting. It seems unfair to expect guests to bathe in it. We ended up brushing our teeth in the kitchen. For fishing, this is a frustrating choice: the banks are steep and there’s nowhere pleasant to fish. My friend tried from the bungalow, but the fish would be lifted from such a height that he’d have to run to the pier to get it out. I’m sorry to leave a bad review, but I can’t say otherwise. If they fixed the water, it could be a pretty nice place to stay.

We booked and paid for the Orlí hnízdo cottage because it was presented as a great spot for fishermen, with direct access to the water. The devastating floods in September 2024 meant the stay couldn’t go ahead as planned. Rather than refunding us or offering a fair solution, the company proposed a new stay for 20-22. 7. 2025 in a different cottage. It wasn’t a fishing retreat at all: there was no direct water access, the slope was steep, and the location was poor, at the edge of the site. They did lend us fishing rods for free and treated us to dinner once as partial compensation. But fishing in front of this alternative cottage was practically impossible, which made the whole trip pointless for us, since fishing was why we went. I can’t recommend the experience. To the Chef

The room and bathroom were clean, and the owners were lovely. It’s so peaceful here, with a pond and beautiful nature all around. There are also wooden sculptures, including a Loch Ness monster in the pond and a bear. I can only recommend it.
