Chalupa Maršovka

There’s a regular bus service even on weekends, and the location makes a great base for trips. Right across the street is a cozy retro pub with a garden. The town has shops too, including a traditional Vietnamese evening shop that’s open almost nonstop. We spent a few lovely days at the cottage over Easter 2025 and were 101% satisfied 😊. It’s spacious and fully equipped, with enough bedrooms to give three families some privacy. Everything was beautifully clean and cozy 🛏️. Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant, and everything went smoothly 👍. If you’re after a cozy stay in the Krkonoše Mountains, I highly recommend it! 💯

The cottage is lovely, clean, and fully equipped. I only wish the first-floor railing were finished better for the children. There was also a misunderstanding over the final bill. We didn’t like how the owner handled the follow-up: they sent an SMS saying the energy charge had changed, but didn’t respond when we disagreed. They only called after we posted a negative review.

The rooms look lovely, though the two upstairs double rooms suit children better because of the steep stairs and sloping walls. The part we really disliked was being charged 600 CZK for cleaning on top of the price, even though we had to meet all the requirements in the protocol. We’ve traveled as a group for 15 years and this has never happened before. We always cleaned ourselves, or had the option to pay for cleaning 😭

The pub right across the street is a real plus, and there’s lots to do in the area. The owner is great, and the cottage is very nice with a well-equipped kitchen. The upstairs floors creak a little. The attic gets hot in summer, though it’s bearable, while the ground floor stays pleasantly cool.
