The grill is the real draw for meat lovers, with authentic dishes like Pork Tomahawk. There’s only one vegetarian option, though. I also liked the lemonades and sweet snacks. It’s a great spot for lunch or dinner, with a lovely atmosphere and mostly Czech visitors. The waiters try hard to help, even though English isn’t their main language. For some reason, the restaurant across the way seems to get more foreign tourists.

The lemonade came packed with fruit, and the kolačky were cute and tasty for dessert. My rabbit with dumplings was a huge serving. If I’m ever back in Holašovice, I’d come here again.

The main dining area is actually out in the garden. Inside, though, there was dust everywhere and spiders in the corners, so it felt a bit dirty. The food was good, and main dishes cost around 120-160 CZK, which is about average for the Czech Republic.

I had the roast duck, and compared with what my friends ordered, I think mine was the best. The place is small but pretty, and the prices are reasonable. The food wasn’t amazing, but for what you pay, it’s good.

The surroundings are amazing, and the staff are really kind. It’s a lovely place to spend time if you want to feel like you’ve gone back to the 1800s.
