Strnadovský mlýn

The breakfast was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was beautiful and clean, and both the owner and staff were so pleasant and helpful. We'd gladly come back.

The whole situation left us with a very bad experience, and we won't be visiting this property again. My acquaintance was there for a company event, but when he arrived, he discovered that no accommodation had been arranged for him. Nobody from the company had warned him beforehand. They quickly put him in a summer cottage with a dry toilet and direct heating. Staff then had to address the insulation temporarily, and he himself said the building wasn't suited to the weather. This was in January, with temperatures around -6 °C. That afternoon he became unwell and had to go to hospital, so he didn't actually use any of the services. We found the staff's response incompetent, with no real effort to resolve things constructively. The gentleman refused me on the phone and said he'd sort it all out the next day for the sake of unity, but that never happened. We understand this was a corporate event and that costs had to be worked out. Still, putting someone in a summer cottage in winter and then failing to make even a partial accommodation in an exceptional medical situation felt at least humanly unethical to us. We never expected a full refund, since the meal hadn't been cancelled, but the property certainly suffered no damage from a summer cottage that was uninhabitable in -6 degrees. I assume the owner won't reply here, or will say the contract has a 100% cancellation charge, unless someone apologizes. Nobody expects to be taken to hospital, or to be put in a summer cottage instead of a rented room in freezing weather without being told beforehand. In my opinion, this is a bad way to make money.

The beautiful surroundings and pleasant atmosphere made for a nice stop for a small snack. We were caught by surprise by the menhir heart. I recommend it. On 19.2026 we stopped by.

The staff were really nice, and the food was great. We had a company event here and enjoyed ourselves.
