They wanted a 250,e deposit for an apartment listed at 150,e. I don't recommend the place, especially when there are better options nearby that don't require a deposit. I won't be going out of my way to stay here. Thanks, but no thanks.

The location has real potential, but the price and condition felt much more like a 200 CZK-per-night hostel than an apartment costing nearly 3500 CZK a night. The basic kitchen wasn't very clean, and our supposed private bathroom was worse: a dirty, trampled floor, an already full toilet bin, and someone else's shower gel cap left in the shower. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time. The hairdryer didn't work either. We hadn't been clearly told that apartment 302's bathroom was a floor below the room. The information about that was poorly communicated. It feels like they're counting on tourists only visiting once, which is a shame given the nice location.

The view over Karlštejn and the surrounding area was lovely, and the Stodola restaurant and 34 had pleasant service. But our apartment's hot water never worked during the stay, even after we reported it three times. The landlord kept insisting everything was fine and nobody fixed it. Room 102 also had mold, and the beds creaked.
