It’s a lovely spot tucked away in nature, and there’s a horse enclosure right outside the windows. We also saw a small pony, probably used for children’s rides. The passing trains at night were a little disruptive, but nothing too bad. What scared us was when the head of a huge fighting dog from the local pen appeared in our room through the open terrace door. We heard the owner call after a while, and the dog responded straight away. After that, we were afraid to go outside. If the dog thought the garden was his, perhaps for good reason, I can’t say how an encounter out in the open would have gone.

The operators are a wonderfully normal family, in the best sense, and after more than two days I felt like one of them :-) We stayed in February and had a great time. I can only imagine how lovely it must be in summer. You don’t really lack anything here, though you do need to buy breakfast. There’s a fridge in the room and two large, fully equipped kitchens to use. The breakfast itself is like grandma’s.

We had a great weekend here by the banks of the Ohře, with a view of the castle. The rooms were clean and renovated, and breakfast was good. You can also arrange a horse ride with the owners.

A basic, low cost camping option with clean, compact washrooms. You get access by text message, so there’s no in person contact. There’s a fire pit, and showers cost 20 CZK for two minutes. Payment is by bank transfer.

It’s a pleasant 15 minute walk from the old town center, all on asphalt and easy enough with a stroller. The accommodation is comfortable for the price, and I really enjoyed how peaceful it was. At night, the only sound was a train passing on the track about 200 meters from the camp. I like falling asleep to that, and it was far enough away.
