Lake Lhota is very close and handy for a swim. The hostess was friendly and gave us lots of useful local tips. My three friends and I stayed in two bedrooms with a shared bathroom at Hotel Bor. The rooms were clean and stayed cool in the hot summer weather.

The staff were pleasant, and this place has a real Central European character. It's quaint, comfortable, affordable, and full of local touches, from the mismatched furniture to the hand-painted flowers on the wooden coat hangers. There were lots of mosquitoes in the bedroom, though, and the walls were pretty thin. It's far enough from Prague that you'll want a car, but you get a feel for the Czech countryside. Sure, it's no Hilton, but I'd take this over spending $500 a night on a sterile room in Prague.

The service was great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. With the lake nearby and such a beautiful setting, it's a great place to hike, cycle, or simply relax in nature.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, and I loved the mini-zoo. The animals were all nice, especially the lama alpaca. Great service too. Thanks for the experience, I'd love to visit again.

The room was clean and good value, and breakfast was terrific. The staff were friendly too. One of the best hotels we've stayed in.
