The room was roomy, with a mini fridge and AC. I also liked having lots of different lights and lamps, which made it feel cozy. The location beside the train station worked well for me since I had an early checkout. For a late arrival, the staff sent clear directions for getting my room card and checked that I’d made it inside safely. There are two vending machines in the hall, one for snacks and drinks, including beer, and another with surprisingly good coffee. They take coins. My only gripe was that there was no kettle or cup in the room. The machine only had coffee and chocolate, no hot water. Maybe reception could provide one, but I spent most of my time out in Kolin.

The room was comfortable, and the bed was quite soft. I stayed one night without breakfast. It was an okay stay, and the hotel is not that far from the capital.

The place looked clean, and I hadn’t expected much from the small breakfast for 6e. Still, I found what might have been a cockroach on the bathroom floor. I know they’re common in Central Europe, but it felt pretty nasty.
