The rooms were furnished, but the furniture looked like it belonged to the last century. There was also an awful musty, moldy smell. For 650,- it was a huge disappointment. We wish we’d read the accommodation reviews sooner and avoided it. I wouldn’t recommend staying even one night. For that price per person, there are plenty of more modern and pleasant places to choose from.

I thought the earlier reviews were too harsh and expected to prove them wrong, but I ended up agreeing with them. The place was dirty, the furniture was terrible, and everything in the attic room creaked badly. The beds were uncomfortable, and there was mold in the bathroom. Stale cigarette smoke hit me as soon as I entered the room, even though smoking isn’t allowed in the “guesthouse.” I can put up with a lot, but I didn’t dare shower because I didn’t want to get foot fungus again. Never again.

The guesthouse is inside a Chinese restaurant building, so there’s an unpleasant smell when you enter. That doesn’t inspire confidence, and the floors could use more attention during cleaning.

Seems like the reviews are old. The place is almost new and gets cleaned every day. There’s parking right beside the guesthouse, even at its entrance. It’s a great repair for the money. What more could you ask for than quiet accommodation and, especially, a perfect restaurant downstairs that makes the best Pho bo in Cologne!
