Hotel Panský dům

The service and reception were very bad. I wouldn't recommend it.

Really poor service.

The place was nearly empty, but we were told to get takeaway because otherwise the kitchen would have a problem. We did, and they still got the order wrong. My friend waited 45 minutes for a second pita. The food was over-seasoned; my sirloin, which had been recommended as especially delicious, was the worst I've had anywhere. The carrot dish was tasteless too. I ate it because I was hungry and expected to be there for hours, and both women on staff literally laughed at me for eating it, as if I liked it. That felt like a slap in the face. We went on May 23rd for a birthday, and I put up with the whole experience out of respect for the person celebrating. The young woman serving us barked at us, and the service came across as arrogant, unwilling, and maybe even rude. We eat out often, for lunch and dinner, and enjoy good food, but we've never had service or food like this. If I could've stood up and left, I would have. I already know I'm not going back, and I can't recommend it. There are much better restaurants around. My work colleagues had warned me before we went, though I know reviews like that aren't always accurate. My experience was very, very bad. I can't judge the hotel as a whole, and maybe the kitchen and serving staff change, but that day was crazy. For me, the restaurant is terrible.

We came just for the restaurant, hoping to find somewhere with food suitable for someone on a gluten-free diet, and we did. There are gluten-free dishes on the menu, and the waitress said the chef could adjust other meals if needed. After experiences elsewhere, I really appreciated that effort. We were welcomed with excellent homemade pate. The garlic was fabulous, the main dishes were great, and the beer was tasty. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Thanks, we'll definitely come back if we're in the area.
