We had such a good time here. The owner was friendly and helpful, the amenities were good, and it felt like a real treat. A great place to stay!

The Občerstvení in front of the place has a great view of the castle.

We left Penzion in Budy with intestinal problems, and the woman in the next room had the same issue. The room itself was small and musty, with cobwebs, a few spiders, and mold in the shower. The owner also made it clear he didn’t enjoy his work, which set the tone for the whole stay. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I definitely don’t recommend this pension.

The gentleman didn’t seem keen on his job or on filling rooms through Booking.com. When we arrived, we called him and he said “Booking is making him angry,” then showed us rooms that were available. We had a confirmed reservation through Booking.com and hadn’t received any message.

The room was clean, spacious, cozy, and well equipped, and the owner was helpful and accommodating. We could see Křivoklát Castle from the balcony, and the romantic location beneath it made this one of the best places we’ve stayed in 20 years. There’s a courtyard with several places to sit, plus a swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and varied, with pastries too. The excellent Sýkora restaurant is nearby. We’ll be happy to come back.
