We wouldn’t stay here again or recommend the hotel. The room was stuffy, had a small window, and the bathrooms in three rooms I saw had a lot of dampness and black mould in the shower corners. Avoid room 10 too, the view was horrible. It looked like there weren’t any other guests, yet we were given the room with the worst view. The biggest problem was the poor organisation and communication. We arranged for a restaurant voucher to be waiting for our mum, as this stay was a present, and confirmed everything with the hotel two days before she arrived. At check-in, nobody knew how she was meant to pay, there was talk of discounts, and no one knew about the food voucher. When asked later that day, reception said it had been forgotten at their home in Napajedla, in a locked drawer, and would be brought the next day. Really? The voucher did arrive the next day, and Mum said they’d probably use it at dinner. But when they came at around 19:10, they were told the restaurant was closed, even though its hours were listed until 22:00. They eventually got food. On Monday, breakfast hours had changed without anyone telling them, so Mum arrived about 15 minutes after service ended. They did eventually provide food then too. Breakfast is plated, with no menu, and one receptionist, who seemed to be doing everything, listed whatever items she could remember at the time. The mixed-up dessert order that evening seems like a minor detail next to all that.

There’s no wifi in the rooms, so working from this hotel isn’t possible. The rooms are really small, and the beds are so uncomfortable it feels like sleeping on concrete.

The food was OK, though it took a long time to arrive. We sat at a garden table while the staff ignored us; I eventually went inside to ask for a menu, and was handed one to carry back out myself(!). The waiter was in shorts and a T-shirt, which isn’t really what you expect from a four-star hotel restaurant 😖.

Kroměříž is a lovely town, but I wouldn’t go there for a nice meal. The soup was excellent, while the rest of the food was mediocre and not worth what we paid.
