Really great!

We’ve been coming to Kvilda for more than ten years, so we have plenty to compare it with. The cross-country trail is just 30 meters from the guesthouse, which is a real plus, but there are no dryers for clothes or boots in the rooms. The Wi-Fi is laughably slow, and there’s only one key for both the room and the house. The walkways around the building and the path to the ski room weren’t cleared at all during our four days there, despite the ice and snow. The water smells, and in some apartments the bathroom can’t be ventilated. In a four-bed apartment, there were glasses for only three people. The accommodation costs too much for the quality. The owner was not friendly or communicative at all.

There wasn’t a sofa in the room, or anywhere comfortable to sit. The owners were unpleasant and barely greeted us, and they ask for a 1000 CZK deposit that’s returned only after a thorough inspection. That felt humiliating. When you leave, they expect the toilet and toilet brush to be clean, after the owner gives you a half-hour lecture about what you’re not allowed to do. I won’t stay here again.

It’s about a ten-minute walk from Kvilda, and the rooms are clean with new furnishings. But the TV room has nowhere comfortable to sit: there’s a dining table with three chairs and a bench, but no sofa, which makes watching TV awkward. There aren’t many dishes either. The tap water smells, and I’m not sure it’s safe to drink.
