Vlčí Jámy

I’ve stayed here several times on my motorbike and will gladly come back. The manager is always helpful and willing, and the chef, who’s also the owner, is a real expert who cooks only the best. It’s always a pleasant stay.

The location is great for trips into Šumava National Park or Germany, and there’s parking in a yard that can be locked. Penzion Vlči Jámy is a really great place, with cozy rooms, great staff, a rich breakfast buffet, and tasty dinners served in large portions. I recommend it!

The food was excellent, the servings more than enough, and breakfast was generous enough to keep you from getting hungry on the next trip. It’s a pleasant place for a night on the way, with a nice atmosphere and friendly people. The unusual pictures with the wolves were a nice touch. My one complaint is the mattresses, which really could do with an update.

WOW, one word says it all! We took the buffet breakfast option and didn’t regret it. The home cooking was great, every dish we had was delicious, portions were huge, and the prices were average, like everywhere else. Radegast beer was a big plus too 😅. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and beautifully furnished, all coordinated in one style. The lady in charge was incredibly nice, helpful, and skilled, and so was the owner. The guesthouse is a bit out of the way, but you get divine peace in return. I loved the paintings, they fit the whole concept so well. We all recommend it, and hopefully we’ll get to visit again one day despite the distance.
