I usually stay here when I cycle into Liberec. The center is a little way off, but the Zoo tram stop is right across from the hotel, and there’s a great restaurant by the pond just over the street. The rooms are simple and very clean, and breakfast is included for a fair price. I paid 850 Kc for single occupancy, which suited what I needed.

The rooms are clean, and the shower stalls work properly. Breakfast has improved in both quality and selection, and on each floor in 2021 there was a kettle, mugs, dishes, tea, coffee, and sugar. I also appreciate that management responds appropriately to criticism in earlier feedback. When the neighbors are considerate, it’s quiet and peaceful enough to sleep well.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic, though it only runs until 9 a.m. It’s a small, clean place in a beautiful area, and the rate is okay, but not exactly cheap for somewhere so small and old. The toiletries were just a tiny soap bar that wasn’t useful and a small shampoo packet. Reception isn’t staffed all the time, so checking in after 8 p.m. is difficult, and no one was available in the morning either.

We had a horrible experience with the owner. My partner arrived on a brand new scooter, just a scooter, not a Hell’s Angel motorcycle. We were sober, pleasant, and tired, as far as I’m concerned. The owner called her “suspicious,” kicked her out of his precious parking lot, then started behaving offensively toward me too. I couldn’t stay there after that, so we moved to Hotel Liberec downtown, where we were met with decent hotel standards. This was an extraordinary experience. That guy should take a bigger daily dose of anger management drugs.
