Chata Monika

The evenings by the fireplace were lovely and warm, and the quiet setting still puts Monika Cottage just a 10-minute drive from the busy Lipno Ski Area. We stayed for five days with our four children and had a wonderful time. It works really well for families, especially with a kitchen equipped for cooking at home. We'd love to return.

We were pleasantly surprised by Chata Monika na Lipno. It’s a peaceful spot out in the countryside, with the water just a short walk away, so it suited both relaxing and an active break. Everything was as agreed, and communication went smoothly. The cottage was clean, cozy, and well equipped. There’s plenty nearby for walking, cycling, and swimming. We’d be very happy to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay, and the cottage was clean and cozy. It’s in a wonderfully peaceful location, with parking on the property and a pool as a nice bonus. Grocery shopping is about 1.5 km away. The owners were great 🤍👍, and the kitchen had enough for us: a kettle, two-burner stove, microwave, dishes, washing machine, a small fridge, and good storage space. The older furnishings were still functional and sufficient. We also appreciated the grill and outdoor seating 👍. We stayed in the basement, where the rooms were terribly damp despite our ventilating whenever we were at the cottage. There was a dehumidifier available. It would help to have insect screens on the windows and doors, since wasps and mosquitoes were around every day. The beds were the biggest issue: the large bed’s worn mattresses let us feel the springs in our ribs all night, and the bunk bed mattresses were bad too. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep.

It’s a good spot for a group or a family, with decent facilities. You get privacy on the edge of town, while still being right in nature. I recommend it.
