Penzion u Draka

Great.

Penzion u Draka sits on a gentle slope at the edge of the forest, about a 1 km walk from the Lipno Dam beach. Our room was clean and had a TV, private bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Rooms sleep 2-4 people. There’s a shared, fully equipped kitchen for cooking, along with a common room with a fireplace and TV. You can use the sauna for an extra fee, and there’s free parking in the pension’s own lot. In summer, you can grill in the garden and enjoy the lovely nature and forest view. A grocery store, drugstore, and post office are nearby. The Russian owner was helpful throughout our stay. I didn’t notice any downsides, and the price-to-comfort ratio is very good.

The rooms were quite nice, and you can sit outside by the table football. The guesthouse is run by a Russian family who don’t speak Czech very well. It’s high up the hill, so getting there by bike is quite a workout :D. The shared kitchen is tiny, barely enough room for one person, and has very little older equipment. Breakfast was a standard buffet, but the dinners were worse. I’d skip them.

The bedroom looks nice, and breakfast is very good. It’s a shame the ventilation is poor and the children have to sleep in the same room. The bar wasn’t open, though you can bring your own drinks.
