We'd explained with a drawing and a truck driver's translation that there were four of us and we needed two rooms, one for three people and one for one. Later, when we came down for drinks, the woman got upset and charged almost 50 euros extra for the child. That felt like a rip-off. The price had seemed okay before that, especially since I had no toilet or shower. I spent 45 minutes chasing mosquitoes with a sock and left more than 200 other bugs in the pretty disgusting room. I had to put my own towels on the bed so I wouldn't sleep on the bedding there. Not speaking English or German at a cheap truckers motel in the Czech Republic, fine. Bug-filled, gnarly rooms at a cheap truckers motel, fine. But ripping me off? Not cool!

Truck parking costs 10 euros, payable by card or cash, and you don't get anything for the money, not even a coffee. There is drinking water, free Wi-Fi and a free toilet, while the shower costs extra. The place is very clean, though the dusty parking lot is a drawback. Staff were very friendly, and I speak English. I'd give it a 9. Good luck, everyone.

A handy quick stop for a driving break, especially for truck drivers. There's a small coffee shop and fuel.
