It’s a hostel close to Liberec. I liked it, though I’d choose some of the other places in the area.

There’s a good kitchen and the accommodation is great. The owners are pleasant and very helpful. In summer, it works well for hiking and cycling, while in winter it’s a short way to the Severák ski resort, which is ideal for children, and to nearby cross-country trails.

We spent a weekend here with small children and had a good stay. The hostess cooks very well, and the new owners, who took over in October 2015, have cleaned the cottage beautifully. They’re also planning to replace the restaurant carpets and linen, and I suspect some beds may be changed too. It’s an older wooden building, so there’s noise between rooms and the shared facilities are only on the ground floor. Still, it’s perfectly adequate for an ordinary tourist. I can recommend it, and hope the new owners keep their enthusiasm.

The owners really make guests feel valued, and the place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food was the standout for me, especially dinner: loads to choose from, so even picky eaters should find something, and it tasted amazing. Highly recommended.
