The old brewery is still part of the castle, and hotel guests can buy samples of what it makes, a really nice touch. The restoration also left a small section of the ruins untouched, which makes a great impression. Staff were professional and friendly, and the rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was included with a good range for adults and kids. Prices were fair too, and it was easy to get to Olomuc. But after 15 hours of driving, we really needed a quiet night. There’s no air conditioning, so in summer you can’t sleep with the windows closed. We opened ours and could hear a concert in the arena next to the hotel, which went on until before midnight. The hotel hadn’t warned us about it. In the restaurant, the waiters also struggled with our group of 12, and we waited up to an hour for drinks. Nice place, but there’s some work to do.

The restaurant is superb, and there’s plenty of outdoor space, including an amphitheatre and public parks with WiFi. The gardens and surroundings are lovely. Everything looked immaculate inside and out, and the WiFi is free.
