Hotel Maxim

The treatments were amazing, and the people around them were lovely. Food was excellent and the service friendly. I was a little disappointed that the pool closes at 6pm, though I understand it's not the season.

A good deal for the price, and a great choice if you want somewhere quiet. Both dinner and breakfast were great.

My treatment stay had been booked and paid for six months ahead, but Excelsior Hotel canceled the reservation just a week before it was due to start. In the end, that worked out for the best because Hotel Maxim was great. The room was cozy and cleaned every day, and all the procedures ran on schedule. The hotel was clean, the food very good, and the staff helpful and cheerful. I was very satisfied and recommend the hotel to everyone.

Breakfast had fresh fruit and vegetables, warm sausages and fried eggs, plus cheeses, pâté, cold cuts, and several breads including toast. Coffee came from an espresso machine, with milk set out on the table. The hotel sits beside a park, about 300 meters from the Singing Fountain and Maxim Gorky Colonnade. It's quiet, clean, and peaceful, and dogs are welcome for 300 CZK per night per dog. Our room had a well-cooled refrigerator and a large LCD TV. Room 306's balcony is long and quite narrow, but two chairs fit, so we could sit out in the evening. There are four parking spaces right by the entrance, and we managed to get one. Parking is 300 CZK per night. The beds were comfortable, and hot water came almost as soon as we turned on the tap. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke fluent English and German.
