Between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., loud, rude guests were talking and slamming doors. The hotel needs a night guard to deal with this kind of behavior, since it kept others from sleeping and reflects badly on the place. Our room seemed clean, but there were hairs on the dated retro-style decorative cushions. The receptionist who greeted us was very kind. In the morning, though, a different, older receptionist was brusque and seemed uninterested in the guests.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fantastic. The rooms aren't especially cozy, but they're practical and the beds are very comfortable.

Breakfast was generous and everything tasted good. The hotel has a very nice view of Mikulov castle, and it's in a very good location. The staff were helpful and lovely. Rooms are simple and on the small side, but clean, with comfortable beds. You can hear quite a bit between rooms, the sound isolation is poor. Still good value for money, and I'd definitely recommend it for a short stay in Mikulov.

We only happened to stop at this hotel with our family on the way back from Austria, but it turned into something special. The place felt like home from the moment we arrived. Hanka greeted us at reception and was professional, warm, and ready to help with even the little things. She really is the perfect face of the hotel. The view of the old castle from the balcony was lovely, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The restaurant was another highlight. Even with the hotel always full and the staff under pressure, Tamara and Marina made everything feel homely with their generous, personal care. They are the soul of this place. The food was amazing, and even breakfast was far from ordinary. We wished we could stay a few more days. The hotel is in a town travel lovers should see.
