Really good....

We were pleased with our meal and will come back to see how a second visit goes. We also told friends about the restaurant, but they said they weren’t happy with the food and had been charged incorrectly, so I can’t say how their experience happened. Ours was excellent, tasty food at more than reasonable prices. We had meatloaf and then a spread, maybe pork crackling, I’m not sure. From our conversation, most ingredients are local, from gardeners and hunters. We found the place by chance after a bad experience nearby, and the outdoor seating looked great, though it turned out to be closed. The two waiters were nice and still served us instead of turning us away. For us, it was perfect so far.

For 159 CZK, getting fries that were still half frozen and boiled potatoes that seemed over-frozen was too much. There was no service, and the woman at the order window looked like she really didn’t enjoy the job. After we complained, the chef may have tried to make things right by bringing a different dish and adding a “painful” popsicle. One star for that effort.

We’d just finished a long trip and stopped for a beer, but the owner kept rushing us, saying the place was about to close even though it was actually two hours away. He served the first beer without telling us the price, then kept offering more even while ours were still nearly full. We ended up with the first beer half finished and two more for each of us on the table. We paid and left. Then we saw why he’d been pushing them: beer costs 55. Never again. I’d recommend the restaurant opposite.
