Penzion Rogallo

For the first time, a host welcomed us with a glass of wine and gave us ideas for places to visit. We had a wonderful vacation with the family, and my little son fell in love there for the first time ☺️. The rooms were clean, the garden beautifully kept, and there were lovely little corners where you could find privacy. The people were nice too. I can only recommend it.

We picked a weekend with bad weather, but still had a really good time. The owner suggested the tree-cutting event, and we also visited the lovely cafe in the village. The guesthouse is beautifully and tastefully decorated, and it was very clean everywhere. Every corner of the garden was neat. We’ll definitely come back to try the hot tub and outdoor summer pool. It was great, definitely recommend.

There are so many nice places within about 30 minutes, including Babiččino údolí, Kuks Hospital, Dvůr Králové nad Labem Zoo, Rozkoš reservoir, Les Království reservoir and Nové Město nad Metují. The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks and Hořice, with the Hořice tubes, take closer to an hour. Hořiček is a handy base for exploring the region, and the Rogallo guesthouse is an easy choice if you're staying here. We spent a wonderful week and would love to return next year. The rooms were cozy and tidy, the kitchen had enough equipment, and the whole place had a family feel. The owner was helpful, welcoming children and giving us tips for trips and better parking. We enjoyed the barbecue and the swimming pool, which was wonderfully refreshing on a hot day. Kids have a fully equipped playground, and adults can use the wine cellar, with first-class wines and chilled Pilsner beer. There are different seating areas around the property, so everyone found a spot, some with lovely views over the landscape.

There are loads of trip options nearby, including two easy nature walks connected directly with the guesthouse, each with a reward at the end. The owners were always helpful, and I even bought slippers for the kids for school and kindergarten right in the shop. The garden is interesting and well kept. For children, there’s a pool, a big playground and go-karts. I can’t give it anything less than five stars, highly recommend.
