A small pond and campsite nearby, and lovely surroundings for trips. We stayed 7-8/25 and had no problems, and we’d be glad to come back. The place was very beautiful and quiet. The rooms were nice, the bathroom was great, and the outdoor seating was okay, though the kitchen was tiny. The owner lives on the other side of the building, but we hardly saw him all week. His friendly dog wandered around the property. We brought our own bedding, and firewood for a campfire was available for a fee.

The apartment itself is beautiful, with new, clean rooms and a lovely bathroom. But the stay was full of problems. The owner lives in the same house, and sometimes walked above us or brought friends who sat outside our apartment. His sweet dog roamed freely, barked at our table, and lay on our furniture. It was too much. The apartment sleeps five, but the kitchen only has a single burner. We were warned right away to conserve water because supplies were low, and the water was only lukewarm. After we insisted, the owner turned it up a little, but it still wasn’t hot. There were unexpected charges, too. His website mentions paid options such as a hot tub and mini golf, but on arrival we learned he wanted 70 CZK per person per day for trampoline use. For two children over a week, that would add up to a lot. On our departure day, he charged us 300 CZK for using the fireplace, where we’d roasted sausages on dry pine needles for ten minutes. He also demanded 1200 CZK for a plastic chair we hadn’t used. His dog slept on it, and if it was broken, the dog may have caused the damage while he was away. The chair was old, with peeling, blackened plastic and lots of wear. I attached a photo. A new one costs 750 CZK. One morning, I asked whether a friend could stop by with her children for coffee, sausages, and then a trip. He smiled and said it was no problem, then charged 400 CZK for the visit when we left. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. I’ve attached his bill, written on a torn piece of paper. He wanted cash, and did everything he could to avoid returning the refundable 3,000 CZK deposit. We got no tax receipt or deposit bill, nothing. The police ended up coming because I wasn’t okay with it. We filed a criminal complaint, and I handed everything over to a lawyer. I hope it helps deter him from treating other guests this way. He doesn’t explain anything, just smiles and then charges you. Maybe people who don’t care about the money, buy his eggs at 10 CZK each, or have him make lunch for them will get along better with him. It’s hard to say. But most of it seemed to be under the table, just to make money. He also charged us a municipal fee for someone over 70, which he isn’t legally entitled to. He didn’t even want to fill out who had arrived or take any information. I think even the trade inspection will be fooled. Bring toilet paper, too. He gave us one roll when we arrived, saying he had no more and didn’t use it himself. To be safe, ask for paperwork for everything and photograph it all in case you need evidence.

The location is a good one, with plenty of places reachable on foot or by car, and the service was pleasant. The accommodation is nice apart from a few things that got in the way of enjoying it: low water flow in the bathroom, a small kitchen with just one induction cooker, a TV we couldn’t tune, and three broken bulbs in the living room chandelier. I’d recommend it for up to four adults. Alternatively, two adults and three children can fit comfortably.

It’s a really nice, peaceful place, but take care with the equipment. I called the owner right away when I found the blinds were broken, yet he still made us pay for the full repair. That felt unfair. Guests are expected to do their own cleaning, so I’d bring cleaning supplies and toilet paper as well.
