The food was delicious and the service was great when we stopped in for dinner with friends. On a sunny day, grab a seat outside and enjoy the sunshine!

The 4G and electricity worked perfectly on the premises, but card payments were unavailable, supposedly “due to technical reasons.” With ten years of experience, I can only think the reason might be tax evasion. Maybe it was an honest mistake, but I ordered a beer, was served a small one, and charged for a regular.

If you like countryside walks, fresh air, and good food, Restaurant Polanka is worth a visit. It’s a wonderful restaurant in the heart of the Czech countryside. They also have an outdoor hot tub in winter!

We liked the surrounding area a lot, and the location was lovely. The rooms are especially nice if you’re into antiques, and the boss lady seemed super nice. The meals were mixed: the duck breast with pepper was great, but the marinated pork ribs were the worst meal of our holiday. Still, it wasn’t a problem. The price of 198,- CZK seemed fair, and we were happy with our accommodation choice. Blueberries!!!

The traditional food was good, and Svičkova is worth ordering. Staff were friendly, though they seemed a little overworked. The atmosphere was nice, but don’t expect gourmet cooking. I’d avoid the à la carte unless you have plenty of time.
