The staff were friendly, but the rooms weren't clean at all. People sharing rooms with you can be really loud at night, though that's not the hostel's fault. They also vacuum at 1 am.

DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. I saw the problems other reviewers mentioned firsthand, but then something completely out of the ordinary happened. The reception lady didn't leave my apartment key in the safebox. I arrived late at night in Ostrava with no way to enter the hotel, stuck outside with my luggage on a cold night on streets populated by drug addicts. Nobody answered my phone. Luckily, a friend who'd also travelled to Ostrava let me sleep on their couch. The next day I called the reception lady again and asked why the key hadn't been in the safebox. When we met, she waved it in my face as if leaving me with nowhere to sleep was nothing wrong. She was so indifferent, as if I were just a man she'd made money from. The city location is super convenient, but the conditions are unsanitary. There was cigarette smoke smell everywhere, the bathroom was filthy, people staying there were arguing, music was loud, and they weren't flushing the toilet.

It was a nightmare, almost horror-like. The toilets were dirty and the neighbors noisy. While our friends were asleep, someone used a key to rob them of their valuables. The staff weren't helpful at all. Avoid this place at any cost.

Check the reviews and avoid staying at this hotel at all costs. Its owners don't respect themselves, and you should make an effort to respect yourself. Yes, it's central and cheaper, but pay a little extra for a normal, secure location.
