I felt right at home in the room. Everything else was lovely too, especially the beautiful natural setting and the excellent service. I’d happily recommend staying here 😌😌👍

The owner was exceptionally kind and pleasant, which made an already wonderful stay even better. We normally hurry home after a holiday, but here we really didn’t want to leave. I’d love to return, hopefully with snow outside. The cottage had pretty much everything: two smart TVs, a sauna, wine cellar, jacuzzi, coffee maker, fireplace, outdoor and terrace seating, washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave. The little decorations were a delight too, especially all the elves and characters. That whole group of plush mice really won me over :-) We’ll never forget this place.

The biggest problem for us was what happened after our second night: we woke up with bites all over our bodies, which we believed came from insects in the cottage. We have photos. We told the landlord in person, and he confirmed the possibility of parasites and arranged for pest control to disinfect the whole property on the day we were leaving. We said it didn’t seem right to host other guests that same day. He offered two free days at his accommodations, which we found ridiculous and refused, asking for money instead. He later withdrew the offer through a legal representative, denied there were insects, and had the representative urge us not to leave a negative review. We’re very disappointed by how the landlord handled this. It felt like paying Mercedes prices for a Skoda. This is our personal experience, and others can make up their own minds. There were other issues too. The cottage was advertised for up to eight people, but we think six is the most it can actually accommodate. The listed daily rental price covered four people, with an extra 500 CZK per person per day. Electricity was charged separately, and even a coffee machine capsule cost 20 CZK. The kitchen was small, there was hardly any storage, and the landlord’s belongings were everywhere. We might have overlooked these drawbacks if not for the bites. In response to the landlord’s reply, which we felt wasn’t objective and included some name-calling, I want to clarify a few things. When we left, we asked him to check the electricity meter so we could pay the charge. We recorded both the starting and ending readings, and can show that he didn’t want to pay. Our dog has lived with us for 11 years, is regularly treated against parasites, and gets clipped. The woman who clips him has never told us he had fleas. For the whole family to get bitten like that, he would have had to be crawling with them. Since we came home, none of us has had any more bites, punctures, or sores. The landlord seems to be using the dog to distract from his own misconduct and bad behavior. I’ll post photos from our holiday so people can see how dangerous it is to live at home with a dog.

We come back with friends every winter, thanks to the lovely hostess and the great location. The cottage is beautiful and very nicely furnished for four or five adults. The stove always adds to the winter atmosphere.
